Grand Master
Amanda Olson-Illescas
Instructor and 9th degree black belt in Taekwondo, is recognized across the country as a leader in teaching instructors how to teach. She has lead teaching seminars and communication seminars for entrepreneurs, teachers and other professionals for over 25 years, as well as written training and curriculum manuals for both. She is a founding member of the American Martial Arts Institute and runs her very successful academy, Olson’s Martial Arts Academy, INC, with her son Keith Olson and daughter Katie McKinney.
Her passion has always been to teach others how to lead themselves and others in a positive way through life. She has dedicated her life to helping others reach their full potential through leadership training, character development and instructor training. Seeing instructors and school owners learn how to confidently grow their school brings her joy. Master Instructor
Keith Olson
Keith is a 6th degree black belt and Master Instructor in Taekwondo. He started training when he was 4 years old and has never looked back. He also began training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA when he was 18 years old. He has earned the rank of brown belt and has been training since 2008. He competed in Amateur MMA for 8 years and turned professional in 2018. His amateur record is 7-1 and his professional record is 3-2. Keith has a passion for martial arts and for helping people better themselves through martial arts. He also holds a B.S. Degree in Exercise Science from ETSU. His logical and challenging teaching style will help you reach the short and long term goals you have in martial arts be it self-defense, better fitness or knowledge if a wide range of martial arts skills.

Katie McKinney
Katie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English in 2015. She trained in Taekwondo for 14 years going through the preschool program and earning her 3rd degree black belt and certified instructor status. She now works at Olson's Martial Arts Academy as the Office Manager and Program Director. Her main goal is to make sure the students and their families have a smooth and happy journey to reach their black belt goals. She is always ready to help you with any questions you may have either for yourself, your child or another family member.

A well designed, well run leadership program can give you the edge your school needs to be THE place in town to train as well as provide opportunity for increased revenue.
These awesome lessons are done for you. 52 to be exact. Use them each week, each month, for assemblies, buddy days. The possibilities are endless. And, the best part, you don't have to create anything or come up with a new idea.
